Alright, fellow players, let me tell you about my adventure in Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong. This chapter, titled 'Unfinished,' is where the game truly becomes a boss rush extravaganza! After getting my hands on the Somersault Cloud, I flew straight to Sun Wukong's home, Mount Huaguo, ready to rumble. And oh boy, what a ride it was.

The chapter kicked off with me and Zhu Bajie fighting our way up the mountain. The first real challenge? The Supreme Inspector. This guy, man... his little flaming wheels were a nightmare. I had to use the Fireproof Mantle like crazy, especially when he surrounded me with a ring of fire in the final phase. Pro tip: Yellow Loong's Golden Lining Transformation works wonders for stunning him!

After severing his hand (yikes), I got the Somersault Cloud. Flying over Mount Huaguo for the first time was breathtaking, but honestly? The place felt a bit... empty. Like, the devs might have been making a joke with that 'Unfinished' title, you know?

But the real meat of the chapter is hunting down bosses to collect Sun Wukong's legendary armor. I followed an awesome map (shoutout to the guide creators!) and tackled them in my own order. First up was Jiao-Loong of Waves in a pool beneath some giant chains. Not too tough, but watch out for those sneaky tail strikes!

Then came Son of Stones, just chilling on a cliff, clapping. He's a big, slow boy, but his lightning AOE attacks are no joke. Immobilize doesn't work on him, so just dodge and whack those legs!

My next targets were the four Poison Chiefs. They're scattered around, looking like big rocks in clearings. Steel yourself against the Poison Bane, or your health will vanish faster than you can say 'antidote.'

The frog saga concluded with Lang-Baw-Baw, the toughest frog of them all. He's got this annoying stone skin that deflects attacks, but it doesn't last long. Run circles around him until it breaks, then go to town. Defeating all frogs upgrades your Baw-Li-Guhh-Lang Spirit to Mythical - totally worth it!

Now for the mandatory bosses. The Cloudtreading Deer awaits in the 'Deer Sight Forest.' This is a two-phase fight: first, it uses ice attacks and summons icy whirlwinds (use Cloud Step!), then it transforms into a gross skeletal thing that shoots poison blood. Beating it netted me the Lotus Silk Cloudtreaders - one piece down!

Next, I flew southeast to the 'Rhino Watch Slope' to face the Gold Armored Rhino. This guy seems immune... unless you hit his butt or, better yet, shatter his horn with a heavy attack using 3-4 Focus Points. Break it a few times, and he's toast. Reward? The Wukong's Gold Suozi Armor!

The Feng-Tail General was a weird one. No fighting! Just hop on his back from your cloud, interact with his antennae, and hold on during three big jumps. It's a stamina check. After that, more fire and another check. Pass them, and you get the Golden Feng-Tail Crown - snazzy headgear!

With three armor pieces, I went back to 'Mantis-Catching Swamp' and, in a bizarre turn, entered Zhu Bajie's belly to fight the Emerald-Armed Mantis. This guy is FAST. Interrupt his combos with Rock Solid. Beating him gave me the final piece, the Dian-Cui Loong-Soaring Bracers. The set was complete!

Before moving on, I tackled two secret bosses. The Water-Wood Beast is a hippo-like creature in the lake behind the shrine. Use Immobilize and A Pluck of Many to overwhelm it quickly. The Giant Shigandang only appears if you collected all four Skandha items in previous chapters. This fight is more tedious than hard - just avoid shockwaves and smash the blue crystals on its hands when they rest on the ground.

With armor secured, I flew to Water Curtain Cave, climbed up, jumped through the waterfall, and finally claimed the Jingubang - Sun Wukong's iconic staff. Equipping it with the armor... I finally looked the part! The feeling was incredible.

Now, for the true ending, you gotta face Erlang Shen again. This is the hardest fight in the game, hands down. You need to have unlocked all hidden areas in previous chapters. Gear up with your best Mythical armor and weapons, and grab a good Gourd drink.

Teleport back to the 'Great Pagoda' in Chapter 3, view the murals, and you'll be taken to Mount Mei. Climb up, and there he is.

Erlang has three phases and a pesky poise meter. My winning strategy?

  • The Plantain Fan is your best friend for staggering him.

  • Use the Sunset of the Nine Skies drink to replenish Qi.

  • The Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top Spirit delivers three heavy hits to his poise meter.

  • The Azure Dust Transformation is weirdly effective here - he doesn't cancel it!

  • Learn his phase tells: a huge axe throw for phase 2, lasers for phase 3.

  • Use Flower Primes Soak to clear Banes.

Beating him triggers an epic kaiju battle against the Four Heavenly Kings and Erlang's demon lion form. It's pure spectacle - just block, heal with heavy attacks, and enjoy the show!

Victory grants the Stone Monkey Transformation and Erlang's Tri-Point Double-Edged Spear. Now, back to Mount Huaguo for the final act.

From the 'Peak of Innocence,' head to the Birthstone. After a long cutscene, you face the Stone Monkey. Two health bars, shockwaves, splitting into two clones... it's tough. Save your Spells and Qi for the second phase and focus on one clone at a time.

Finally, you confront the Great Sage's Broken Shell. He has all your Spells and sees through your moves. Another two-health-bar marathon. Use the Plantain Fan, charged heavies, and Transformations. Beware: the first time you use your Gourd in phase 2, he'll steal it! Cheeky monkey, indeed.

When he finally fell, I just sat back and breathed. What a journey. From collecting armor pieces across a deceptively open world to epic, multi-phase boss battles that tested everything I'd learned, Chapter 6 was a brutal, beautiful, and utterly satisfying conclusion to the Destined One's tale. Now, who's ready for New Game+?
